Bozenna Hinton, 인도 제25회 Global Conference of Actuaries에서 IAA 대표로 참석 Audience: All 국제계리사회(International Actuarial Association, IAA)는 인도 뭄바이에서 개최된 제25회 Global Conference of Actuaries에 전임 회장(Immediate Past President)인 Bozenna Hinton이 IAA 대표로 참석하게 되어 기쁘게 생각합니다. 이번 컨퍼런스는 “Actuarial Pathways to Viksit Bharat: Managing Risks for Inclusive Social and Economic Growth”라는 주제로 개최되었습니다. 행사에는 전 세계 계리 분야의 리더와 전문가들이 모여 금융, 보험, 연금, 리스크 관리 전반에 걸친 주요 과제들을 논의하고, 통찰을 공유하며 협력을 강화하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

OECD 금융시장 주간 동안 IOPS·OECD WPIP 회의 및 IPRA 컨퍼런스에 IAA 참여 Audience: All IAA는 이번 주 프랑스 파리에서 열린 OECD Financial Markets Week의 일환으로 개최된 회의에 참여하였습니다. IAA는 IOPS 위원회 회의에 참석하였으며, 이 회의는 OECD 보험·연금 워킹파티(WPIP)와 공동으로 개최되었습니다. 이어서 International Pension Research Association(IPRA) Conference에도 참여하였습니다. 이 회의들은 전 세계의 연금 감독기관, 규제당국, 정책입안자, 연구자들이 모여 보험 및 연금 제도와 은퇴 정책 체계를 형성하고 있는 최근의 주요 발전 상황에 대해 의견을 교환하는 자리였습니다. 또한 참석자들은 경험을 공유하고 새로운 동향을 검토하며 감독, 규제, 거버넌스 및 장기적 지속가능성 측면에서 국제 협력을 강화하기 위한 논의를 진행하였습니다. 여성 계리사 조명(Spotlight on Women in Actuarial) – IAA 이니셔티브 Audience: All 이번 주 IAA는 국제 여성의 날(International Women's Day)을 기념하여 전 세계 여성 계리사들의 뛰어난 기여를 조명하고 있습니다. 월요일부터 IAA는 6개 대륙에서 활동하는 여성 계리사들이 참여한 짧은 영상 시리즈를 공유하기 시작했습니다. 각 영상에서는 계리사로서의 경험, 직면했던 도전, 그리고 계리 전문직에 대한 통찰을 소개하고 있습니다. 이 영상들은 이번 주 동안 매일 IAA LinkedIn 페이지와 공식 website에 게시될 예정입니다. IAA의 공공 의견 제출 (Public Submissions) Audience: All Full Member Associations (Council Delegates and Correspondents) 1. 초국가적 협의에 대한 IAA 의견 제출 - IAIS 회복 및 정리 관련 Application Papers 개정안 공개 협의 IAA는 국제보험감독자협의회(International Association of Insurance Supervisors, IAIS)가 실시한 회복 및 정리(recovery and resolution) 관련 Application Papers 개정 초안에 대한 public consultation에 대해 공식 의견을 제출하였습니다. IAA의 공식 의견은 링크를 통해 확인하실 수 있습니다. 이번 의견서는 Insurance Regulation Committee 위원장인 Nick Dexter과 위원회 위원들의 노력으로 작성되었으며, 이에 감사드립니다. IAA가 제출한 모든 공공 의견서(Public Statements)는 IAA 홈페이지의 Knowledge/Public Submissions에서 확인하실 수 있습니다. 2. 공공 의견 제출 안내 - IASB IFRS 9 및 IFRS 7 개정 제안에 대한 공개 협의 국제회계기준위원회(International Accounting Standards Board, IASB)는 금융기관이 포트폴리오 전반에서 금리 위험을 관리하는 방식을 보다 잘 반영하기 위한 새로운 회계모형을 제안하였습니다. 자세한 내용은 안내 링크 에서 확인할 수 있으며, 해당 공개 협의의 의견 제출 마감일은 2026년 7월 31일입니다. IAA는 이번 협의에 대해 공식 의견을 제출할 예정입니다. 이 의견서는 Insurance Accounting Committee 가 작성할 예정이며, 작성 과정은 IAA 공공 의견서 작성 절차(Due Process for Making a Public Statements)에 따라 진행됩니다.
작성 중인 초안과 최종 의견서는 IAC 위원들과 공유됩니다. 각 협회는 IAC에 참여하고 있는 각 협회 대표를 통해 의견을 제출해 주시기 바랍니다.
만약 귀 협회가 IAC에 위원 또는 옵저버를 두고 있지 않은 경우, 작성 과정에 참여하여 초안을 검토할 옵저버를 지명할 수 있습니다. 옵저버 지명을 희망하는 협회는 IAA 사무국 기술활동 디렉터인 Amali Seneviratne에게 2026년 3월 31일까지 연락해 주시기 바랍니다. 이 과정이 의견 작성에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 유일한 기회이며, 초안은 IAC 외부로 별도로 회람되지 않습니다.

Bozenna Hinton Represents IAA at 25th Global Conference of Actuaries in India Audience: All The International Actuarial Association (IAA) was pleased to be represented by Bozenna Hinton, Immediate Past President, at the 25th Global Conference of Actuaries held in Mumbai, India. The conference, held under the theme “Actuarial Pathways to Viksit Bharat: Managing Risks for Inclusive Social and Economic Growth,” convened actuarial leaders and professionals from around the world to exchange insights, discuss key challenges, and foster collaboration across finance, insurance, pensions, and risk management.

IAA Participates in IOPS & OECD WPIP Meetings and IPRA Conference During OECD Financial Markets Week Audience: All The IAA participated in the IOPS Committee Meetings, held jointly with the OECD Working Party on Insurance and Pensions (WPIP), followed by the International Pension Research Association (IPRA) Conference, this week in Paris, France, as part of OECD Financial Markets Week. The meetings brought together pension supervisors, regulators, policymakers, and researchers from around the world to exchange perspectives on current developments, shaping insurance and pension systems and retirement policy frameworks. Discussions provided a valuable platform to share experiences, examine emerging trends, and strengthen international cooperation in supervision, regulation, governance, and long-term sustainability. Past President Charles Cowling actively contributed to the discussions, offering actuarial insights on pension discussions. By engaging in international dialogue, the IAA offers actuarial insights to support ongoing efforts toward resilient and sustainable insurance and pension systems.

Spotlight on Women in Actuarial – An IAA Initiative Audience: All This week, the IAA is highlighting the incredible contributions of female actuaries around the world in celebration of International Women’s Day. Starting Monday, we began sharing a series of short videos featuring inspiring women from six continents, each sharing their experiences, challenges, and insights into the actuarial profession. Videos will continue to be posted daily throughout the week on the IAA LinkedIn page and website. Follow along and join us in celebrating the talent, leadership, and diversity that strengthens the global actuarial community.  |
Public Submissions by the IAA Audience: All Full Member Associations (Council Delegates and Correspondents) 1. IAA Response to Supranational Consultations - IAIS Public consultation on draft revised Application Papers on recovery and resolution The IAA submitted the responses to the public consultation by the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) on draft revised Application Papers on recovery and resolution. Click here to access the IAA’s response. We thank Nick Dexter (Chair) and the members of the Insurance Regulation Committee for formulating the response on behalf of the IAA. All IAA Public Statements and are posted on the IAA website under Knowledge/Public Submissions. 2. Notice of Public Submission - Public consultation on IASB’s Proposed amendments to IFRS 9 and IFRS 7 The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has proposed a new accounting model to better reflect how financial institutions manage interest rate risk throughout their portfolios. Please click this link for more details. The IASB’s consultation is open for comment until 31 July 2026. The IAA intends to submit a formal response to this consultation. The Insurance Accounting Committee (IAC) will be responsible for formulating the response to this. The response will be developed in accordance with the requirements of the IAA Due Process for Making a Public Statements.
The developing drafts and the final response will be shared with the IAC. Please ensure that your association’s input is provided via your representatives in the IAC.
If your association does not have a member or an observer in the IAC, you may nominate an observer to the drafting group to review the developing response. We request you to contact Amali Seneviratne (Director Technical Activities) at the IAA Secretariat as soon as possible, but no later than 31 March 2026 if your association wishes to nominate an observer. Please note that this will be your only opportunity to influence the development of the response, as it will not be circulated outside the IAC.
The final response will be submitted to the IASB on or before 31 July 2026, subject to approval by IAC members. |
